Tate Smith

Tate Smith is a seasoned procurement professional with extensive experience in various management roles within the beverage industry. Currently serving as Procurement Category Manager at Congo Brands since May 2024, Tate oversees all procurement activities for Packaging Categories. Previously, Tate held the position of Director of Procurement at Southwest Spirits, managing spend on direct and indirect materials. Notably, Tate worked at Sazerac Company from December 2017 to June 2023, where responsibilities included procurement management of indirect materials and development of sourcing strategies. Earlier in the career, Tate gained significant experience in supplier engagement and purchasing coordination across various packaging types. An alumnus of the University of Louisville, Tate holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Finance, alongside a Distilled Spirits Business Certificate.
