Andrea Llera is currently the Group Leader in Translational Genomics at Instituto Leloir-CONICET, where they focus on developing technological tools and data to enhance the quality of life for Argentinian cancer patients. With 35 years of diverse experience in health sciences, they transitioned to oncology in 2001 and have since led several international and local collaborative projects. Andrea has been instrumental in the Argentinian chapter of the Latin American Cancer Research Network and the GENUIT Translational Unit, overseeing clinical studies and managing high-quality oncological tissue biobanks. They also co-direct Genocan, a lab dedicated to studying molecular markers of cancer in the Argentinian population, and have contributed to the establishment of a genomics facility at Fundación Instituto Leloir.
