Phil Nystrom

Phil Nystrom is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the medical engineering field. Currently employed at CONMED Corporation since October 2019, Nystrom previously worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Osypka Medtec Inc. from March 2018 to June 2019. Academic experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at Bright Research Group, CU Boulder, where Nystrom focused on designing and constructing a fluid lens for a medical endoscope. Earlier roles included internships in the McLeod Research Group and Kineticorp, as well as a research assistant position in the Smalyukh Research Group, contributing to projects related to holographic data storage and mechanical effects of geometric micro-particles in liquid crystals. Phil Nystrom holds a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Colorado Boulder.
