Phil Smith

Phil Smith is an accomplished procurement and supplier management professional with extensive experience in the financial services and IT sectors. Currently serving as Head of Group Procurement and Head of Supplier Management at Connells Group since March 2017, Phil oversees relationships with over 75 key suppliers and leads efforts for GDPR compliance across the organization. Prior roles include Supplier Manager at Claydon Business Solutions and Director at TUI, where Phil successfully managed relationships with numerous IT suppliers. Additional experience includes Supplier and Procurement Manager at Equitable Life Assurance Society, where Phil managed over 40 accounts and contributed significantly to operational integrations. With a foundation in customer service and complaint management from roles at Lloyds Banking Group and Halifax Bank of Scotland, Phil holds a BA (Hons) in Economic Development from Coventry University.
