Steph Umbert

Steph Umbert's most recent work experience is as an Account Manager in the Jobs Vertical at Connexus Digital, Inc., starting in August 2022. Prior to that, from October 2019 to September 2021, Steph worked as the Director of Membership at CIMSEC: Center for International Maritime Security. Steph also has experience as a Research Associate in Korean Studies at the Center for the National Interest from May 2020 to September 2020. Additionally, Steph worked as a Fact Checker at the Human Cooperation Laboratory (HCL) at MIT from October 2019 to January 2020. Steph's experience also includes being a Policy & Corporate Intern at The Korea Society from March 2019 to June 2019 and a Consultant (SIPA Capstone Workshop Consultancy) at Eurasia Group from December 2018 to May 2019. In 2013, Steph had two separate Congressional Intern roles at the Office of US Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen from May 2013 to August 2013, and from August 2013 to December 2013.

Steph Umbert has a Master of International Affairs (MIA) degree, with a focus on International Security Policy, International Conflict Resolution, and East Asian Studies. This degree was obtained from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Prior to this, Steph received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Miami. Steph also attended The George Washington University, where they studied Economics and Political Science but did not obtain a degree from there. Additionally, Steph graduated with a High School Diploma from the American Heritage Schools - Broward Campus, where they participated in the Honors Legal Studies Program.
