Joe Kennedy

Joe Kennedy is a seasoned professional in the finance industry, currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Global Trading at Conning since November 2011, where responsibilities include managing the global trading desk for USD fixed income and equity sectors. Previously, from August 2003 to November 2011, Joe held the position of Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Trading at Phoenix Life Insurance/Goodwin Capital Advisers, overseeing a fixed income trading desk that managed approximately $22 billion in various bond and loan products. Earlier in their career, Joe worked as a Trader/Quant Analyst at ING/AELTUS Investment Management Inc. from April 2002 to August 2003, focusing on risk management for outside-money portfolios totaling $15 billion. Joe holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut and a BS in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
