Michael Hatfield

Michael Hatfield has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, with a career at ConocoPhillips spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Technical Functions, Michael is responsible for engineering, geoscience, and global operations. Previous roles include leadership positions in various technical and operational divisions, such as SVP of Global Wells and President of Alaska, Canada, and Europe, where strategic portfolio management and significant asset transactions were executed. Michael's leadership in cost optimization initiatives has led to substantial savings and workforce reductions. An alumnus of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from MIT, Michael has a strong foundation in both technical and business disciplines.
