Michael Wright, CFA, serves as the Planning Lead for BU Finance at ConocoPhillips, a position held since June 2013. In this role, Michael plays a crucial part in the Montney asset team, focusing on enhancing asset performance and reporting, as well as guiding investment decisions. Previously, Michael has held various analytical positions within ConocoPhillips, providing detailed financial analysis for Oil Sands projects, identifying acquisition opportunities, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to optimize asset value. Michael also has experience in commercial analysis and exploration financial performance, demonstrating a strong background in financial analytics and strategic planning. Prior experience includes co-chairing the Alberta Energy Challenge and a summer internship at Nexen Inc. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in Accounting and Finance from the University of Alberta.
