Michael Young

Michael Young is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in exploration, research, and reservoir geology. Beginning a career in academia as a Total-Fina-Elf Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh, Michael has worked for notable companies such as Statoil, Hydro Oil & Energy, Maersk Oil Norway, and ConocoPhillips. At Statoil, Michael focused on Near Field Exploration in the North Viking Graben, while at Hydro Oil & Energy, Michael engaged in geology and IOR sections and contributed to reservoir modeling for the Oseberg Sør Field. His tenure at ConocoPhillips included significant roles in regional exploration across various seas and monitoring subsurface projects in Libya. Michael holds a PhD in Geology from The University of Manchester, an MSc from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a BSc from Imperial College London.
