Alan Calder is an experienced technical and laboratory manager with a robust background in the oil and energy industry, specializing in drilling and completions fluids applications. From 2014 to 2018, Alan served as the UK and Europe Technical Manager for Halliburton & Baroid, where they supervised staff, coordinated project initiatives, and provided technical leadership on various projects. Prior to this role, Alan held various positions at Halliburton, including Senior Drilling Fluids Engineer and Technical Adviser for the Middle East. Since 2018, Alan has been an independent consultant, advising major oil operators on diverse projects. Alan holds a BSc in Geology and Chemistry from The Open University and an ONC in Chemistry from Aberdeen Technical College.
