Barry Tiernan has extensive experience in the rigging and engineering sectors, beginning with a role as a Marine Engineer in the Royal Navy from December 1996 to June 2001, which included a deployment for counter-drug operations in the West Indies. From May 2002 to August 2016, Barry served as an Inspection Engineer at Unusual Rigging Ltd, conducting LOLER inspections across various venues and installations. Barry continued with Unusual Rigging in a dual capacity as an Installation and Remedial Engineer beginning in November 2022 while also working as a self-employed Rigger NRC Level 3 since March 2018.
