George Broughton

George Broughton is a retired professional with a background in Build & Release, Configuration Management, and DevOps. They served as the first Release Manager at Accruent from 2006 to 2008, where they significantly reduced product installation time using automation techniques. Prior to that, they worked as a Build and Release Engineer at Hummingbird from 1999 to 2006 and spent a decade at Nuance Communications as a Release Engineer, where they gained valuable experience and camaraderie. Broughton holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, which they earned from 1976 to 1982, and completed Grade 13 Honours in Math & Science at Lasalle High School. Currently, they are self-employed and available for full-time and contract work in their field.
