John Oates has extensive experience in finance and biotechnology, having served as COO and CFO at both BioCor from 2000 to 2006 and Opsidio, LLC since 2018. They were also the General Manager of Biotechnology Solutions at United BioSource Corporation from 2006 to 2010. Currently, John is a co-founder and CEO of Recombination Therapeutics and maintains an active role as an investor, advisor, and life sciences executive. In addition, they are a member of Mid Atlantic Bio Angels since 2016. Prior to their career in biotechnology, John worked as a Financial Analyst/Operations Officer at Citibank from 1995 to 1998.
