Martin Checketts is a director, founder, and investor with extensive experience in legal and professional services. They served as a lawyer at Howes Percival and Fennemores, and held the position of Senior Associate at Ashurst before becoming a partner at Mills Oakley from 2003 to 2018. Currently, Martin directs, advises, and invests while engaging in various boards, including Mills Oakley’s Management Board and the Equity-One Mortgage Fund. As a co-founder of Thistles Disability Services and owner of The Orchard Specialist Disability Accommodation, Martin is dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals with disabilities, inspired by their experiences as a parent of a young adult with autism and intellectual disability. Martin holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Birmingham and completed the Legal Practice Course at Chester College of Law.
