Simon Dudley

Simon Dudley is a Staff Blockchain Protocol Engineer at Consensys since August 2021, focusing on Ethereum Core development and notably leading the Shanghai Ethereum upgrade to enable staked ETH withdrawals. Prior to this role, Simon served as Principal Software Developer at Auto Trader UK, where an innovative machine learning product was developed, and as Senior Software Developer, efficiency improvements were achieved in batch processing and web application architecture. Simon also held positions at Team Netsol Ltd, progressing from Technical Lead to Senior Developer and Development Manager, implementing new practices to enhance team performance and code quality. Simon began a career in software development with an internship at the University of Manchester STARS IT Services, working on advanced web applications. Simon earned a B.Sc. (Hons) 1st Class in Computer Science with Industrial Experience from the University of Manchester.
