Chandra Sharma

Chandra Sharma is the Chief Executive Officer of Conservation Halton, a role they hold since 2024. They have held senior leadership and governance roles in environmental and public-sector organizations, including Director of Watershed Strategies and Director of Community Engagement and Outreach at Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) from 2014 to 2024, and Watershed Specialist and Senior Manager Climate Change at TRCA from 2003 to 2015, as well as Chief Administrative Officer at the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority from 2020 to 2024. They have served on boards such as the TD Friends of the Environment (2013–2017) and Ontario Nature (2005–2010), and held the position of Past Chair – International Affairs Committee for the Canadian Institute of Planners (2009–2013). They earned a Masters in Environmental Studies and Planning from York University (1996–1998).
