Andy Maclaren

Head of Cyber Security at Consider IT

Andy Maclaren has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. In 2008, they worked as a Tier 2 Desktop Support at Capgemini, where they were responsible for supporting IT and network infrastructure issues for over 30,000 employees. From 2014 to 2014, they served as a Marketing Intern at Arum, a consultancy providing solutions to a global client base. At Arum, they worked on optimizing operations and systems for high volume credit operations. Since 2015, Andy has been with Consider IT, where they started as a System Administrator and then progressed to become the Head of IT Services. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Cyber Security.

Andy Maclaren completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management with a focus on Project Management and Marketing from Queen Margaret University from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained an HNC in Business Management from UHI in 2010 and 2011. Additionally, Andy Maclaren has earned several certifications, including Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) from Offensive Security in June 2019, LPIC1 - Linux Administrator from the Linux Professional Institute in November 2017, CREST Practitioner Security Analyst (CPSA) from CREST - www.crest-approved.org in November 2018, CREST Registered Penetration Tester (CRT) from CREST - www.crest-approved.org in June 2019, and NSE3 Network Security Associate (Including NSE1, NSE2) from Fortinet in November 2019.
