Claudia Perchinelli

SVP, Planning & Design at CONSOR Engineers

Claudia has been involved in bridge design and structural engineering for over 30 years. In 1999, she founded Arizona-based Structural Grace, Inc., which joined the CONSOR Engineers family in 2019. She has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of Arizona and University of Colorado, respectively. Claudia’s engineering responsibilities include design, project management, and construction engineering for transportation-related structures, including long- and short-span bridges, pedestrian bridges, and temporary works; she also provides bridge construction services, including inspections, shop drawings review, and project cost estimates and specifications preparation.

Claudia has spent nearly her entire career overseeing the design and construction of transportation-related structures. She believes bridges are intrinsically beautiful and strives to produce bridge designs that showcase this beauty. She earned the distinction as the lead designer for the first segmental bridge built in Arizona, Arizona DOT’s Lower Screwtail Bridge, and is working on the second segmental bridge in Arizona, the 22nd Street over UPPR yard for the City of Tucson. In 2017, she was named the University of Arizona’s Distinguished Alumni; in 2016, she was the recipient of two professional awards: Southern Arizona Engineer of the Year and the Southern Arizona Women of Influence for Pioneer in Business.
