Heather Burns

Civil Engineer

Heather Burns has a diverse work experience in the field of civil engineering. Heather started their career as an Environmental Engineering Intern at the City of Kent, Washington in 2013. Heather then worked as a Water Conservation Intern at Frontier Associates LLC in 2014. From 2015 to 2020, they served as a Civil Engineer 4 at Black & Veatch. In 2020, they joined Tacoma Water as a Professional Engineer, a role they held until 2022. After that, they worked as a Civil Engineer at Murraysmith and is currently employed at CONSOR Engineers in the same role.

Heather Burns completed their Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. After their undergraduate studies, they obtained an EIT Certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in April 2015. Heather later earned the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in May 2019 and from the Washington State Department of Licensing in December 2020.
