Jeff Benfer

Jeff Benfer has a strong background in systems administration, with experience spanning over 10 years. Jeff started their career in 2007 as an Intelligence Analyst in the US Army, where they served for two years before transitioning to the role of G2 Systems Control NCOIC. In 2011, they joined L-3 Communications as a Field Software Engineer, where they worked until 2013. From 2012 to 2014, Jeff worked as a Support Technician at Benfer ITS. In 2014, they joined Jaydien Network Solutions as a Network Technician for a brief period of time. Jeff then joined Constant in 2015, where they started as a System Administrator and later was promoted to Senior Systems Administrator. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Manager, Systems Administration at Constant, a role they started in August 2021. Their responsibilities include webserver support, VPS provider system administration, and working with a variety of technologies such as Qemu-KVM, Libvirt, Ceph, and LVM.

Jeff Benfer completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2006. In addition to their degree, they also attained certifications including Certified Linux Administrator from SUSE, LPIC-1 from Linux Professional Institute, Linux+ from CompTIA, and VMware Certified Professional 4 and 5 from VMware.
