Larry Dignan has a diverse work experience in the field of technology journalism and education. Larry has held various roles throughout their career.

Starting from 1996, Larry worked as the Managing Editor for TechInvestor at CMP Media. From 1998 to 2003, they served as the Department Editor for CNET News.com/ZDNet, managing the East Coast news operation.

In 2003, Larry joined Baseline/Ziff Davis Media as a News Editor, responsible for writing and editing the news section of Baseline magazine. Larry also served as the editor for the annual "Baseline 500 issue" and "Baseline CEO" insert.

From 2006 to 2008, Larry worked as the Executive News Editor at eWeek, overseeing the news coverage for the technology news site. In the same period, they also held the position of Executive Editor for ZDNet news and blogs at CNET Networks.

In 2008, Larry joined CBS Interactive (formerly CNET) as the Editor in Chief of ZDNet and the Editorial Director of TechRepublic. In this role, they oversaw the global editorial operations, managed B2B edit teams, and set the strategy for TechRepublic and TechRepublic Premium.

Larry joined Red Ventures in 2020 as the Vice President of Editorial and the Editor in Chief of ZDNet, a Red Ventures company. Larry held this position until 2021.

From 2021 to 2023, Larry worked at Celonis as the Editor In Chief before joining Constellation Research, Inc. in 2023 as the Editor in Chief of Constellation Insights.

In addition to their professional roles, Larry has also been an Adjunct Professor at the Fox School of Business, Temple University since 2017. Larry teaches an undergraduate general education data science class covering big data, Tableau, analytics, and their applications to broader industries. The class has been conducted both in person and online.

Larry Dignan pursued their education by first attending the University of Delaware from 1988 to 1992. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a focus on Communication, English, and Economics. Later on, from 1994 to 1995, they enrolled at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Journalism.
