Chuck Streb has a long and varied work experience. Most recently, they have been the Director of Engineering and Senior Controls Engineer at Construction Robotics since 2020. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Rochester Precision Optics as the Electrical Engineering Manager and Prototype Software Engineer. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Optimation Technology, Inc. as the Project Manager/Senior Software Engineer, where they created code to measure coating thickness on a web coating machine, developed controls for an evaporator system and an hydrolysis system, created a vision system to monitor temperatures, and designed a patent pending technique for non-touch flash testing of touch panels. From 2002 to 2013, they worked at Trison Business Solutions, Inc. as the Principal Controls Engineer, where they spearheaded LabVIEW projects, coded local battery pack test stands, and developed fuel reformate processing systems. From 1995 to 2002, they worked at Viewpoint Systems as the Software Hardware Engineer/Project Manager, where they managed custom solution projects, conducted requirements gathering, wrote specifications, prototyped and built circuit boards, and selected off-the-shelf equipment. From 1982 to 1995, they worked at the University of Rochester as the Electronics Lab Manager, where they designed, prototyped, and developed real-time systems, created multiple data acquisition cards, and fabricated and programmed embedded designs. Prior to that, they worked in the US Air Force from 1978 to 1982 as a Cryptographic Maintenance Technician.
Chuck Streb attended the University of Rochester from 1983 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
