Paul Conley

Paul Conley is an accomplished entrepreneur and venture capitalist with extensive experience in various leadership roles. As the Founder and CEO of General Inception since February 2020, Conley has been dedicated to supporting technical founders through capital, technology development, and customer access. Conley serves as a Venture Partner at Vertical Venture Partners, focusing on early-stage investments in B2B start-ups that tackle specific industry challenges. Additionally, Conley is the Managing Director for Venture Studio Operations at Paladin Capital Group, prioritizing investments that enhance the security of US critical infrastructure. Conley holds multiple board positions, including with Constructive Bio and Menlo Micro, and has a robust educational background, holding a PhD in Computational Physics and degrees in Bioengineering and Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from UC San Diego and the University of Virginia.
