Lawrence Sutton

Lawrence Sutton, PMP, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and consulting within the transit payment systems sector. Currently serving as Principal Consultant at Consult Hyperion since July 2021, Lawrence leads Open Payment implementations for transit agencies across North America, collaborating with card brands and issuers to enhance system functionality. Prior to this role, Lawrence worked as Solutions Architect and Tech Lead at Vix Technology, focusing on EMV transit payments for Dallas Area Rapid Transit. With a background that includes consulting for Jacobs and managing mobile ticketing initiatives for Dallas Area Rapid Transit, as well as web development roles in earlier career stages, Lawrence combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of fare payment systems. Educational credentials include a Master of Music Degree from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Kentucky.
