Ryan Coetzee

Ryan Coetzee is an accomplished political strategist and executive, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer, Managing Partner, and Partner at Consulum since June 2016. Previously, Ryan held the position of Director of Strategy for the Remain campaign from July 2015 to June 2016 and was the General Election Director of Strategy for the Liberal Democrats during the lead-up to the May 2015 general election. Ryan's government experience includes serving as Director of Strategy to the Deputy Prime Minister of the UK, advising Nick Clegg, and as a Special Advisor to the Premier of the Western Cape, Helen Zille. With a foundational role in the Democratic Alliance starting in January 1999, Ryan developed campaign strategies for several elections, managed party operations as CEO, and served as a Member of Parliament from June 2004 to June 2009. Ryan holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and History and a Higher Diploma in Education, both from the University of Cape Town.
