Jack Poon

Jack Poon is a Professor of Practice at the Faculty of Business, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, specializing in teaching Fintech, cryptocurrency, blockchain, and entrepreneur financing since August 2018. In addition, Jack serves as a Co-opted Member of the Advisory Group on Digital Economy and Information Technology at the Consumer Council, and as an Expert Advisor on Consumer Protection in the Future Digital Economy. Jack has held various roles including Speaker and Mentor at Betatron, Member of the Fintech Advisory Group for the Securities and Futures Commission, and Advisor at MobiJuce, among others. Jack was also CEO and Co-founder of AtCipher Inc., a company focused on protecting business data in the cloud through advanced encryption technology. Jack possesses an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
