Abby Damen

Abby Damen is an experienced communications and campaigns adviser currently working at Consumer NZ since April 2023. Abby has built a diverse background as a freelance copywriter since January 2014, specializing in technical and complex writing projects. Abby co-founded Shut Up & Dance in 2016 and has held various roles in casting and production, including being a casting assistant, extras casting coordinator for Avatar Films, and a contributor to projects like the Emmy Award-winning Reservoir Hill. Other notable positions include marketing and business coordinator at Light House Cinemas and director of Saving 2050, an initiative focused on environmental sustainability. Abby holds a Bachelor of Communications in Linguistics and Communication Management from Massey University, completed between 2010 and 2012.
