Lisa Pao

Lisa Pao, PhD, currently serves as a Survey Research Associate at Consumer Reports. With a strong background in education and research, Lisa has previously held various roles, including 7th Grade English Teacher at KIPP Academy Fresno, Adjunct Professor at Manhattanville College, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Columbia University Medical Center. Significant contributions to literacy research were made as a Literacy Research Consultant at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and as Director of Research at Authentic Connections Co. Lisa has extensive experience in curriculum design and instruction, especially in special education, through roles at Relay Graduate School of Education and Teachers College, where instructional interventions for reading were developed and evaluated. Educational credentials include a PhD in Psychology and Education from Columbia University and a BA in English from Harvard University.
