Richard Cunningham has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Richard began their career at Touchscreen Media Group as a Senior Designer in 1999. Richard then moved on to Columbia University Digital Knowledge Ventures, where they worked as a Senior Designer and later as a Product Marketing Manager. During their time at Columbia, Richard played a key role in designing and building online courses for the university, as well as leading creative and strategic marketing campaigns.
In 2007, Richard joined Time Inc. as a Product Manager and eventually became a Senior Product Manager. Richard led product, creative, and development teams for popular consumer lifestyle brands such as CookingLight.com and MyRecipes.com.
Richard's most recent position was at Consumer Reports, where they served as Director of Product. In this role, they led five cross-functional agile teams and oversaw various digital products, including home, autos, tech, and mobile apps. Richard applied a data-driven approach to create innovative features and products, resulting in significant increases in mobile app subscription revenue and user engagement.
Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset, driving growth and success in various organizations.
Richard Cunningham earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Media Arts from Alfred University. Following that, they attended the School of Visual Arts from 1996 to 2003 and studied HTML, Digital/Multimedia, Design, and Color Theory. In 2004, they briefly attended Parsons School of Design - The New School for a course in Advertising. From 2005 to 2007, Richard pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Strategic Communication from Columbia University.
