Patrick Simon

Patrick Simon is a Solution Architect at CONTACT Software since December 2019, specializing in gathering customer requirements and guiding implementation for international projects. Previous roles at CONTACT Software include Project Success Engineer and Solution Engineer, focusing on the specification and deployment of solution concepts for international customer projects. Prior to this, Patrick worked as a Specially Appointed Research Employee at the National Institute for Fusion Sciences, where experimental plasma turbulence research was conducted. Experience also includes a Research Employee/PhD Student position at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, emphasizing diagnostics and data analysis in plasma physics, and as a Student Research Assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology, conducting research on advanced ceramics. Patrick holds a PhD in Plasma and High-Temperature Physics from the University of Stuttgart, an MS in Nuclear Fusion Science and Engineering Physics from Ghent University, and a BS in Physics from RWTH Aachen University.
