John Clamp

John Haldyn Clamp is currently the Director of Strategic Projects at Contamac and has extensive experience in the optometry industry, particularly in contact lens innovation. As a former Joint CEO of UltraVision CLPL, they contributed to significant advancements and received multiple accolades, including two Queen’s Awards for Innovation. John's patents span various fields, including soft contact lenses and rotary engine design. They have served as Chair of Governors at Newnham Croft Primary School and continue to influence the industry through consultancy at Paper Plane Innovations Ltd. John earned a B.Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds.
