Dawid Borycki is an accomplished expert in optical methods for biomedical imaging and has extensive experience in applied research and development. Currently serving as a Staff Research Scientist at CoMind since October 2021, Borycki leads the Experimental Optics team to translate academic research into commercial applications. From April 2022 to December 2023, Borycki contributed as a Senior Researcher at the International Centre for Translational Eye Research, alongside a previous role as a Senior Researcher in Biomedical Optics at the Polish Academy of Sciences from August 2016 to May 2022. Earlier positions include Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Davis, Assistant Professor at Nicolaus Copernicus University, and Software Engineer roles at Optopol Technology and Canon, Inc. Borycki holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics and an MSc in Theoretical and Computational Physics from Nicolaus Copernicus University, as well as a Habilitation in Biomedical Engineering from the Nalecz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
