Giacomo Deodato

Senior ML Researcher at contextflow

Giacomo Deodato has a diverse work experience. Giacomo began their career in 2012 as a Freelance Private Teacher, teaching math, physics, chemistry, and computer science to high school students, as well as physics to university students. In 2017, they worked as a Tutor for the Comune di Torino and Politecnico di Torino, providing didactic support to groups of students. In 2018, they worked as a Research Intern at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR), where they implemented a high-level Bayesian modeling framework and worked with Bayesian Convolutional Neural Networks to analyze cellular images. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Computational Research Associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where their research focused on applying and developing new computational methods to dissect genetic risk in metabolic diseases. Currently, they are a Senior ML Researcher at contextflow.

Giacomo Deodato has a diverse educational background. Giacomo obtained a Scientific High School Diploma P.N.I. from Liceo Scientifico Statale Galileo Galilei in 2013. Giacomo then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Università di Catania in 2016. Giacomo also obtained an IELTS certification from the British Council in July 2016. Giacomo Deodato then earned an MSc Computer Engineering with a major in Software from Politecnico di Torino in 2019, followed by a Double Degree in Data Science & Engineering from EURECOM in the same year.
