Alex de Sousa

Alex De Sousa has extensive experience in investment management and technology leadership within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Board Observer at Context Labs BV since January 2022 and a Senior Investment Manager at Equinor since April 2015, Alex specializes in investment research, portfolio construction, and due diligence for Equinor Ventures. Previous roles include Head of IT for upstream operations in the U.S. Unconventional at Equinor, overseeing IT portfolios, and delivering productivity savings. Alex has also held board positions at Sunverge Energy, Data Gumbo, and Ambyint, demonstrating a commitment to corporate governance. Prior experience at Halliburton spanned multiple sales and management roles, with notable achievements in exceeding sales quotas and recognition as the Top Sales Person of the Year in 2010. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Houston and a degree in Computer Science from Universidad Central de Venezuela.
