Contexto is a design-build, landscape architecture, and urban planning studio based in San Luis Obispo County, California. Our team provides high-quality landscape design, garden design, planning, and landscape architecture services for clients in urban and rural areas across the country. We are proud to create modern landscapes that are true to place and distinctively new.

Our Vision:

Our name is a Spanish translation of the word ‘context’. We believe that in order to masterfully create sound design, we must openly consider and engage with diverse languages, landscapes, and people.

Contexto is about family and community. It is about looking internally before designing externally. Our goal is to design meaningful spaces that tell and re-tell your story using materials and elements that harmoniously blend in with your surrounding landscape.
