Brian Morris has extensive work experience in the field of data architecture and business intelligence. Brian started their career at Morris Services, Inc. as a Senior Programmer/Analyst, where they developed the Voter Information Tracking And Listing (VITAL) application, which had a significant impact on the statewide political balance of power. Brian then worked at Professional Resources, Inc. as a Project Manager, managing development teams for marketing and fulfillment projects.
Brian then joined Metamor Business Solutions as a Senior Consultant, where they provided leadership to the branch office and performed project management and application development. Brian later joined Sonic Industries, Inc. as a Senior Programmer/Analyst, focusing on BI/DW using Cognos PowerPlay, Impromptu, SQL Server, VB, Crystal, and Actuate. At Redlands BI/DW, Inc., Brian worked as a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Technical Architect, managing client-facing consultants and mentoring team members in best practices for data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
Brian then joined Devon Energy, where they served as a Supervisor of the Analytics and Reporting team, focusing on providing accurate and timely information to support decision-making. Brian later became a BI Architect, responsible for delivering analytics across the enterprise and providing a competitive advantage in decision-making.
In their role at Chesapeake Energy, Brian served as an Enterprise Information Architect, developing target state strategies and roadmaps for Data Architecture, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Big Data.
Currently, Brian is working at Continental Resources as a Principal Data Architect, leading the integration of data from various sources into a cloud data platform hosted primarily in AWS. Brian has experience in integrating data from streaming IoT sources, financial systems, and traditional corporate and 3rd party applications.
