John Argo

Mr. Argo and his team are responsible for acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures as well as portfolio optimization. He has over 13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Continental in 2014, he worked for HighMount Exploration and Production for seven years and served in roles as General Manager of Reservoir, Production Operations Manager, Pipeline/Facilities Manager, Staff Reservoir Engineer, and Senior Drilling/Completions Engineer.

Previously, Mr. Argo worked for Dominion Exploration & Production and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and a Master of Business Administration in energy from the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Argo currently serves on the board for the Continental Resources PAC, the advisory board for the Mewbourne School of Petroleum & Geological Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, the University of Oklahoma Executive MBA in Energy Alumni Association, and ADAM OKC. He has previously served in leadership/board positions with the Society of Petroleum Engineers and SPE Young Professionals.
