Matt Schaefer, CPL, is a seasoned professional in land management with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Landman at Continental Resources since September 2025, Matt previously held positions as a Senior Landman at EOG Resources from May 2023 to September 2025, and as a Land Manager and Division Landman at Gulfport Energy Corporation from December 2015 to May 2023. Matt began the career at Chesapeake Energy, working as an Associate Landman and later a Landman from January 2010 to October 2013, and has also held various roles at Ascent Resources, Pioneer Natural Resources Company, and EOG Resources. Matt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma between 2005 and 2009.
