Stephen Newman

Stephen Newman is an engineer at Continental since May 2021, with a strong background in mechanical engineering. As a developmental CO-OP, Stephen contributes to various engineering projects while also serving as the Structural Team Co-Lead for Buckeye Solar Racing from June 2021 to July 2024. This role involves leading structural project teams to enhance the Farasi II Solar Car and overseeing the design and documentation for a new solar vehicle. Stephen previously held positions as Brakes Project Lead, responsible for the braking system's design and integration, and as a general member at The Honey Baked Ham Company, LLC, working as a cashier. Stephen also gained experience as a student assistant at The Ohio State University's Agriculture Department. Stephen is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at The Ohio State University, expected in 2024.
