Giovanni Mels

Giovanni Mels is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in the healthcare technology sector. Currently serving as a Java Software Crafter at Continuum Consulting NV since December 2018, Giovanni has been a member of the Advanced Clinical Applications research team at Agfa Healthcare since May 2008, focusing on developing intelligent clinical applications using semantic web technologies. Prior to this, Giovanni held the position of Integration Engineer, overseeing installations of the Agfa Integrated Care Engage Suite in hospitals worldwide. Giovanni's career began at AGFA, where Giovanni worked as a Software Architect from September 2000 to May 2008, leading development for Agfa Drystar diagnostic image hardcopy devices. Giovanni holds a degree in Computer Science from Ghent University and a degree in Electronics from Hogeschool Antwerpen.
