Aaron Arends

Aaron Arends is an experienced Embedded Intelligence Analyst at Control Risks, specializing in corporate security and intelligence since May 2023, and previously served as a Senior Consultant, providing analysis on geopolitical risk and international security. Prior to joining Control Risks, Aaron worked at Sigma7 from December 2019 to May 2023 as a Senior Intelligence Analyst, where leadership of intelligence collection across the Americas and supervision of OSINT analysts were key responsibilities. Earlier roles include Intelligence Analyst at Sigma7 and Research Intern at The Clingendael Institute, contributing to international security studies. Aaron also gained experience at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons as a Student Consultant. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Political Science from Leiden University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Leiden University and Hanyang University.
