Amel Aksouh

Threat intelligence

Amel Aksouh is an MSc student at UCL, specializing in countering organized crime and terrorism, with a dissertation focusing on anchor bias in crime and intelligence. Amel currently works in threat intelligence at Control Risks and has previous experience as a student ambassador at Virginia Commonwealth University, an editorial intern for Blackbird Publishing, an intern for the Rod Hall Campaign, and a legislative intern for Senator Jennifer McClellan. Additional experience includes working as an ice cream shop associate at Ben & Jerry's and participating in a summer program at Georgetown University focused on law fundamentals. Amel holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations with a Minor in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from South Lakes High School.
