Edwin Tran

Edwin Tran is an embedded intelligence analyst at Control Risks since April 2023, where responsibilities include developing analytical products and briefing teams on security threats for a major international event. With extensive experience as a political analyst at Encyclopedia Geopolitica since October 2018, Edwin focuses on open-source research and geopolitical analysis in the Levantine region. Prior roles include a global security intelligence analyst at Concentric, where analysis supported the Global Security Operations team, and a technical editor at Workday, where technical documentation was edited. Other experiences include contributing to geopolitical research at Caspian Report and the International Review, as well as internship positions that enhanced expertise in countering violent extremism and technical writing. Edwin holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Affairs from the University of Nevada, Reno.
