John Seddon

John Seddon is a seasoned risk management professional, currently serving as a Principal and Director for Africa at Control Risks since January 2009. With extensive experience in business development and project delivery across North and sub-Saharan Africa, Seddon has held various roles including Associate Director and Senior Consultant. Previously, Seddon managed operations for North Africa, focusing on energy and infrastructure projects in the Maghreb and Sahel regions. Prior to Control Risks, Seddon contributed as Operations Manager at a joint unit of International SOS and Control Risks, and worked in security management with CR24. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Terrorism Studies from the University of St Andrews and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, with a focus on Middle East Studies and Economics from McGill University.
