Lance Truong

Lance Truong currently serves as a Senior Analyst for Greater China and Northeast Asia at Control Risks since August 2023. Prior to this role, Lance was an Associate Director for Japan Client Services at Eurasia Group from November 2022 to August 2023 and worked as a Senior Consultant in the Strategic Impact Unit at EY from June 2021 to November 2022. Lance's experience also includes a diplomatic position at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, where responsibilities included serving as a Diplomat at the Australian Consulate-General in Chengdu and working as a Policy Officer from February 2013 to July 2019. Lance holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and multiple degrees from Monash University, including a BA (First Class Honours) in Japanese Studies and a BA in Journalism and Mandarin. Additional academic credentials include a Diploma of Modern Languages in Japanese from Monash University and honors research in Journalism and Japanese Studies from Nagoya University.
