Richard Wylde

Richard Wylde has extensive experience in the risk and security sector, currently serving as Chairman of the Security in Complex Environments Group since July 2019. Additionally, Richard holds the position of Visiting Fellow at the University of Exeter in the Politics and Strategy Department, a role commenced in November 2013. As Director for Government and Defence at Control Risks since October 2013, Richard has contributed to strategic risk assessments. Richard's previous experience includes serving as a Trustee for the Pimpernel Trust from July 2018 to November 2022 and working at Her Majesty's Foreign and Commonwealth Office from September 1985 to October 2013, where the final role involved being Departmental Head of Communications, overseeing media strategy and crisis communication response from 2011 to 2013.
