Control Risks
Sahar Amarir is an Associate Analyst at Control Risks, specializing in the MENA region since January 2021, following the role of Researcher in the same area. Prior involvement includes serving as Cultural Chair and GSAS Representative for the Harvard Arab Student Association from September 2018 to May 2019, and as Panel Chair & Moderator for the Arab Conference at Harvard between September 2017 and May 2019. Sahar gained experience as a Francophone & North Africa Intern at Acacia Global Investors in the summer of 2018. In addition, Sahar was a Core Member of the Steering Committee and an Activist with Yala Young Leaders from June 2011 to June 2014, and volunteered as an Activist with Amnesty International from September 2010 to June 2013. Sahar holds an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University (2017-2019) and has completed Bachelor's degrees in Arabic & Hebrew Studies and Political Sciences at Université Paris-Sorbonne and Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, respectively, along with an Associate's degree in Legal Studies from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University.
