Steve Wilford

Steve Wilford is a seasoned professional in risk analysis and corporate investigations with over two decades of experience at Control Risks, where a career began in September 2002. Currently serving as a Partner, Steve leads the Global Risk Analysis team in Asia Pacific, focusing on comprehensive risk assessments. Previous roles include Director of Corporate Investigations for South East Asia, where Steve oversaw a highly profitable team in Singapore, and Country Manager for India, where the first permanent operational presence on the Indian subcontinent was established. Earlier positions at Control Risks involved managing business development and conducting in-depth analyses of political and operational risks across the region. Prior to joining Control Risks, Steve worked as Senior Editor for Asia-Pacific Affairs at Oxford Analytica, managing contributions on critical geopolitical and economic issues in Southeast Asia and beyond. Steve holds an MPhil in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Oxford and a BA in Southeast Asian Studies and Language from the University of Hull.
