Carla Meyer

Carla Meyer is currently a Global Quality Manager Trainee at Control Union, responsible for managing the quality of certification activities within an international team based in South Africa. Previous roles at Control Union included projects focused on improving internal audit processes, conducting market research for energy logistics, and researching sustainability in South Africa to enhance competitive positioning. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Pretoria, along with a role as a Research Interviewer to collect data on the impact of Covid-19 on the restaurant industry. Carla began their career with an internship at Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel, where responsibilities spanned marketing, procurement, and customer service. Carla holds a Bachelor of Consumer Science in Food Retail Management from the University of Pretoria.
