James Birdwell

James Birdwell has extensive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, currently serving as a Strategic Buyer at Cloeren Incorporated since December 2018 and as a Purchaser / Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Controlled Fluids, Inc. since May 2009. Previous roles include inside sales and customer order management, along with a background in softball coaching and college recruitment as a manager for TX MidCounty MOJO Softball and Orange CRUSH Softball 18U. Additionally, Birdwell worked at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company for nearly 18 years as a Polyethylene Lab & Fab Tech, focusing on fabrication and testing of polymers. Birdwell holds a BS in Mechanized Agriculture from Texas A&M University, obtained between 1978 and 1983, and completed education at Deweyville High School from 1974 to 1978.
